We will wait for you at the fixed time at Puerto Barantilla. From there we will take you with a motor canoe 1.3km downstream to the amazoonico.

Bus-jounrney from Quito to Tena
  • Best is to take the 7:00 bus (Expreso Baņos, $ 6.00)from Quito, Terminal Terrestre to Tena.
    Beware: Never leave your luggage unattended!!!
  • You arrive at the main busstation in Quito between 12:00 and 13:00. You have to get out of the bus at the final station!
Bus-journey from Baņos to Tena
  • Best is to take the 8:00 bus to Tena from Baņos Terminal de Buses.
  • You arrive at the main busstation in Quito around 12:00. You have to get out of the bus at the final station!!
Bus-journey from Tena to Puerto Barantilla (Liana Lodge)
  • From Tena you take the 14:30 bus in direction Puerto Barantilla / SANTA ROSA DEL NAPO.
  • Tickets are available at the main busstation through the companies Tickets könnt Ihr im BSentinella del Tena or Transporte Jumandy. The officies are directly located on the mainstreet. You need a ticket to Santa Rosa del Napo. You'll go as far as Liana Lodge / Puerto Barantilla / Selva Viva.
  • The bustrip from Tena to Puerto Barantilla (45 km) takes approx. until 16:15.
  • Tell the driver, that yoou want to get out at Puerto Barantilla. The bus stops only 30meters from the river. Normally our canoe will already be waiting there.
Journey by car from Quito
  • Quito-Papallacta-Baeza-Tena-Puerto Napo
  • We recommend a lunchbreak in Baeza at the restaurant Gina, just at the entrance to the villgae on the right side.
  • At Puerto Napo you have to cross the big bridge (Rio Napo) and turn left immediately (see roadsigns).
  • From there you follow the road straight ahead for 40km until the sign Puerto Rio Barantilla - Liana Lodge
  • A metalgate is there. You can park your car beside the watchmans house.
  • Driving time is approx. 5 hours.
Journey by car from Baņos
  • Baņos-Puyo-Tena-Puerto Napo
  • We recommend a lunchbreak in Puyo at the restaurantEl jardín, just at the exit of the villgae on the right side.
  • In Puerto Napo you have to turn rightimmediately before big bridge (Rio Napo) nach (see roadsigns).
  • From there you follow the road straight ahead for 40km until the sign Puerto Rio Barantilla - Liana Lodge
  • A metalgate is there. You can park your car beside the watchmans house.
  • Driving time is approx. 4 hours.
In Tena
  • There is enough time to get sth. to eat in Tena (see below)
  • or do some last shopping (cigarettes, sweets, rubberboots, etc.)
