Jaguarundi

yaguarondi2

The small supple felines have a weasel-like appearance, with the elongated body and the small round ears. They are also called” otter-cats”. There are two different colourings of their fur: Black to grey and reddish-brown. Mostly Jaguarundis are hunting in the thicket close to the shore, and are carefully approaching their prey (small mammals, rodents, small reptiles, birds, fish and frogs) on the ground. Like other felines Jaguarundis are hunted because of their fur.
