Pygmy anteater

Silky_Anteater

This small fellow (up to 20cm) has long, golden-brown, silky soft fur, that is silvery shimmering on the back. Its nose is relatively long and blunt and its seizing-tail is pretty long. During the day the pygmy ant-eater is sleeping curled up in the trees. Towards the evening it goes searching for food, therefore it is opening the ants nests with the big claws, to be able to lick up the ants with its long tongue.
